Dear Doctors and Staff,
I just returned from an extra-ordinary Chiropractic weekend in Long Branch, New
Jersey.  "The New Beginnings" celebrated their 20th Anniversary with over 500 Chiropractors, staff and families present.  There were many tremendous speakers.  Dr. Jim Dubel, the Chiropractor that started "The New Beginnings" over 20 years ago, can be proud of the success of this great Chiropractic program.
As I presented about 2 hours of "The Basics" Chiropractic Medicare to a good crowd of Chiropractors and their staff, there was plenty of excitement, but also the awareness of the misunderstanding of maintenance care in Medicare and the payable service.
Chiropractors are reimbursed by either the Medicare Carrier or the patient to do only one thing; CORRECT THE VERTEBRAL SUBLUXATION!  NOT to treat pain!  It makes no difference if the patient has pain or not.  If the Chiropractor locates a subluxation, (best with x-rays,) the patient may or may not have pain.  Some subluxations have NO pain, just a neuronal component altering the function of one organ or more.  If the patient has pain related to a subluxation, an Exacerbation for example, we must document, how, when and what occurred.
However, if the patient has no pain in relation to the subluxation, they most likely have an organ malfunction, and we must document (NOT S.O.A.P. Notes) the neuronal component.  (They are probably already on three prescription drugs from their MD for this organ malfunction.)
A displaced vertebra called a Subluxation is the only payable Chiropractic service in Medicare.  The correction of a subluxation is the primary job Chiropractors have and that is the only thing Medicare pays a Chiropractor to do.  Stop "treating pain."  Start billing and documenting the subluxation correction as the covered service.  Correcting a subluxation is NOT maintenance care.  It is the only job a Chiropractor is reimbursed to do for a Medicare patient.
BOTTOM LINE: If you wish to learn how to do Chiropractic Medicare correctly, including "documenting" by federal standards, please consider ordering our Chiropractic Medicare DVD and booklet. It explains piece by piece every important step in doing and billing Chiropractic Medicare so there are no limits for the chiropractic adjustment. If you are audited you will have done Medicare correctly and win your audit. You and your staff will be very happy you have this important and mandatory information. I promise it will make a difference in your understanding of Medicare and how you bill Medicare.
2010 Seminar Schedule
Keep in mind, Medicare is the only insurance type program that if done incorrectly is fraud, a felony, a fine and/or jail.

I promise you will be more than satisfied that you made the right decision to purchase this information or attend our presentation. Please give me a call if you have questions. 1-618-395-3162
